Terms of use
The rules for using TAP, in plain language. By creating an account you agree to them.
Plain-language terms based on Pakistani law as checked on 27 October 2026. A lawyer is reviewing them, and we will tell you before any important change.
1Who runs TAP
TAP (Tasks And People) is run from Islamabad, Pakistan, by its founder until a company is registered.
These terms are an electronic agreement under the Electronic Transactions Ordinance, 2002. Pakistani law applies, and the courts in Islamabad hear disputes. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law.
2Who can use TAP
You must be 18 or older to have an account, post, or apply. Under Pakistani law a person under 18 cannot make a binding contract.
One person, one account, with true details. If you post for a business, you must be allowed to act for it.
3TAP's role
TAP helps people find each other, talk, and agree. The agreement for the work is between the person posting and the provider.
TAP is not an employer, agent, contractor, or payment service. It does not guarantee quality, attendance, or payment, and it does not check identity documents, skills, or criminal records. Each of you follows the laws that apply to your work, including tax and any licence it needs.
4What is not allowed
Illegal work, and any work done by a person under 18.
Work that needs a licence TAP cannot check, such as gas and LPG, medical care, private security, high-voltage electrical, or structural building work.
Harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual content, fake profiles, sharing someone's private information or photos, fraud, and asking for "registration" or advance fees to get work. Many of these are also crimes under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.
5Posting, applying, and agreeing
Describe tasks honestly, including safety conditions, materials, and who brings them. TAP reviews every task before it is public and may refuse, edit, or remove listings that break these rules.
The agreement records scope, date and time, amount, and payment method. Both sides accept the same version, and TAP keeps a record of it.
6Payment
You pay each other directly, as agreed. TAP never holds your money. Avoid large advance payments, and pay for materials against receipts.
TAP charges no fees now. If that changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before, and new fees will not apply to agreements already made.
7Reviews and records
Reviews must be honest and about the work. Paid, fake, or swapped reviews are not allowed. Cancellations and no-shows follow published rules, and you can dispute any event.
8Safety, reports, and the law
Report or block anyone at any time. TAP may keep evidence of a report and share it with the police or another authority when Pakistani law requires it or someone's safety is at risk.
In an emergency, call 15 (police) or 1122 (rescue) first. TAP is not an emergency service.
9Enforcement and appeals
TAP can warn, restrict, suspend, or close accounts that break these rules. We tell you why and how to appeal, and a person reviews every appeal.
10Responsibility
TAP provides the service as it is and works to keep it running and safe. As far as the law allows, TAP is not responsible for what members do, say, or agree. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud or TAP's own negligence.
11Changes and complaints
We will tell you before important changes and ask you to accept them again.
For questions or complaints, open Help and safety and start a support case. We reply Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00 PKT, and aim to resolve complaints within 7 days.
