Privacy notice
TAP collects only what it needs, shows only what you choose, and never sells your information.
Plain-language terms based on Pakistani law as checked on 27 October 2026. A lawyer is reviewing them, and we will tell you before any important change.
1Who is responsible
TAP's founder, in Islamabad, Pakistan, decides how your information is used. Ask any privacy question from Help and safety.
2What we collect
Account: your email address, and your name and photo from Google if you sign in with Google.
Profile: public name, city, area, languages, and for providers, bio, services, travel distance, availability, and photo.
Activity: tasks, applications, messages, agreements, reviews, reports, and any contact details you choose to share.
Technical: IP address, device and browser details, and security logs, used to keep accounts safe and stop abuse.
3What is public
Your public name, and for providers who choose to be public: bio, services, broad area, travel distance, languages, and track record. Tasks show the sector or area, never the exact address.
4What stays private
Your email, phone number, exact location, messages, and reports. Contact details are shared only after an agreement, and only with the person you choose.
5How we use it
To run your account, show your tasks and profile, deliver messages and emails, check posts, handle reports and disputes, keep the marketplace safe, and meet legal duties.
We do not sell your information, show third-party adverts, or use advertising trackers. Staff see only what their role needs, and their access is recorded.
6Services that help run TAP
Supabase (database and sign-in, servers in Singapore), Cloudflare (website and bot check), Resend (emails), and Google (only if you sign in with Google). Your information is stored and processed outside Pakistan by these services, under their security and privacy terms.
7Pakistani law
Pakistan does not yet have a general data protection law; the Personal Data Protection Bill is still a draft. We follow its main principles now (collect little, use it only for clear purposes, keep it safe, let you see and delete it) and will update this notice when a law is passed.
We share information with authorities only when Pakistani law requires it, such as a lawful request under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, or when someone is in danger.
8How long we keep it
While your account is open. When you delete your account, it is removed after 30 days. Reports, safety decisions, and agreement records may be kept longer when the law or safety requires it. Encrypted backups are kept for up to 30 days.
9Your choices
Correct your profile, change email settings, download your data, deactivate your account, or delete it, all from your account pages. If something is wrong and you cannot fix it yourself, start a support case.
10Security and under-18s
Sign-in codes expire in 10 minutes, session cookies cannot be read by page scripts, and staff use two-factor sign-in. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you.
TAP is not for anyone under 18. We delete accounts we learn belong to someone under 18.
